Premiere snare question.

Loading...

A pawn shop I frequent has a Premiere 14" snare with an older Slingerland stand for $40. The throwoff and lugs are good but it's been re-covered with some sort of fake walnut plastic material. Just wondering what it's worth... I have no idea. I may just pick it up as a player or maybe as a future project.

Tough to go wrong at $40

Maybe they will even deal down.

The stand alone is worth the majority of the $40 if it's in decent shape.

Sounds like it could be a fun project at least.

Thanks Kevins, too late though. Three kids in a punk band bought it after I left yesterday to use as a drum to "trash" during their sets. What a shame.

it wasn't this finish was it? Mahogony Duroplastic is pretty collectable for obvious reasons

No (thank God). This was like the stuff you line drawers with, and badly done.

The Premier CABRIA snare & tom I have are covered in nice mahogany wrap. These have the silver badges, denoting them as "APK" - the middle qualtity of their three lines. I'm selling these - PM me if you would like details.
