PLAYER Rogers Steel Snare - R-380 CLEAN Last viewed: 11 hours ago

Loading...

Offering a PLAYERS (NOT a collector grade) Rogers R-380 snare. Every lug on here has pitting, and there is some pitting here and there on the shell. The worst of the shell pitting is where the butt end is (see pic). This is not the original muffler, though the handle is original.

So, what we have here is a Yamaha made, likely 67-70 Steel shell snare, Bantom strainer. This has been disassembled, soaked, polished, and re-assembled, along with a couple new screws.

While this is not the same as other steel Rogers snares, it is right up there in quality and sound.

So, what we have here is NOT A COLLECTOR snare, rather a great Rogers (love the design!) PLAYERS snare you can lug around to your gigs and not worry about scratching up. Pitting will stop now if kept clean. I have rescued it of more pitting. It is a real solid Vintage Rogers snare (though some will debate that issue as it was made by Yamaha - a great conversation piece). This features Joe Thompson designed hardware which is a grade above other MIJ of the day and a shell that is arguably the same as other Rogers steel shelled snares. Yes, made in Japan (small sticker on the shell is still intact-take a looksy during the next top head change), & at the same time a Clean Solid Players snare that will be a workhorse for you.

Research what is said about this snare on the forums - you might be surprised at the praise it gets.

One of these in mint condition commands around $100 (though I have seen 200 asked), but due to condition, I am asking $75. REDUCED to $65

Price does not include shipping from 49285 and I ask for PP only please.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
