Hello

I have an old small set of Pixie drums that I remember where around in the late 1960's or early 1970's

Does anyone remember these drums and have any details on them

I am going to sell them and would like to be able to discribe them

Thanks for your help

Wow, Pixies! Haven't heard of those in years. Please don't quote me, I may be wrong, but Pixies were small, jazz size MIJ drums. The kits had 18"s as the main bass drum size if I recall. They are probably Luan shells. Again, it's been a l-o-n-g time, so I might not be remembering these right.

Value? No guess. I do know Pixies are rare. Haven't seen one in decades.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

This is what i know about these drums.Pixie drums were made by Pearl from about 1961-66 or so.These drums were small in size the bass drum could be a 12x16,mounted tom 4x12,floor tom 12x14 snare 4x13..The lugs would be in the middle of the drums-{like a club-date}-.Lugs would be open with no inserts all drums would have claws on them one being threaded the other not..The other set would be a little bigger the bass drum 14x18,mounted tom 8x12 floor tom 14x14 snare 5x14.They also made a 14x18.8x12,9x13,16x16 4.4x14 snare..The lugs again would be in the middle of the drums,Lugs would not be open only the bass drum would have claws on both sides like you see on bass drums of today..Photos would help on the price you could ask for the drums..Mikey
