pearl CZX Custom Z

Loading...

I currently Own the pearl CZX Custom Z snare (14x7) and I am trying to find replacement lugs for it as the lug screw holes aren't holding up anymore.

Anyone know where to find them??

Thanks.

I have always found Pearl drums to be very customer service oriented, the few times I have dealt with them,if you haven't already tried I would contact Pearl and see if they can help you.

I don't know much about the CZX line so I don't know if the lugs on the 14x7 snares were specially made for that line,or used on other lines, such as on the Marching / concert products.

Antonio,

I have a set of Custom Z drums -- 10, 12, 13, 16 with an 18" bass that was converted from a virgin floor tom and a 24" bass drum. They are great drums.

The lugs those are less than stellar. I traded my 10" tom for a 10" tom that had been cut down in order to complete a trade/purchase for the 18". So, the 10" that had been cut down is outfitted with lugs from the older discontinued Session series (PEarl just reissued that series with some changes, BTW). The Session and Masters series lugs had the same hole spacing, so I suspect that you could swap the long lugs for Session or Masters series if you can't find any of the long lugs on ebay. Pearl has not made the long lugs in years and do not have any in stock.

On a side note, you may get lucky by finding an old BLX or MLX snare inthe same size as those drums used the same lugs.

Good luck!
