I'm a strong believer in helping a drumming brother out. I enjoy tossing stuff in the post to a forum bud with needs. Heck, Drumhack and I have turned this into a competition. Fun stuff.

With that said, the Sticky section is not that great of an idea. If this forum were just a bunch of buds helping each other out and good 'ol boys tossing a few quips, it wouldn't be an issue. But that does not describe this forum. The "honor system" does not work in the company of faceless strangers. Not casting disparages, just describing human nature and an American societal truth.

It's best taking the time to get to know forum buds and THEN reaching out to lend a hand. Trust is developed and friendships are strengthened. I've got quite a few on here that I've sent stuff to as 'surprise' packages. I can't imagine drop shipping a package to someone that requests it simply because they saw it listed as "free" here. Bad idea from where I sit.

Yep I can understand that. It's not for everyone which is fine. It's not meant to be. I guess I'm different in my thinking. I don't mind sending out something I'll never use if it helps someone else out.

Please, no apologies required, sir! I enjoy reading about people's different ideas and opinions. Keep 'em coming!
