With a somber heart I must say as a family member passes on , I have been feeling like I need to burst out of this shell .., and this forum has helped me stay grounded, thank s every one... and I want to create and play, we should have a jamming network evolve.. F&*k getting old all the good is left behind; well a update me and my 13 year old daughter just spent the last 1/2 hour she on piano and me on piano and a snare, this is a connection we never had till now I must thank God for his blessings,

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I'm sorry for your sadness, hope you have a family or friends circle around you... but you know even as impersonal as it might be... people read your posts and wish you to be well, hope you find joy and make sense of the events that unfold in your life.

Hang in there man... spring is right around the corner!

So sorry to hear this Gary.

But, thats great you are making music with your daughter. I have asked my daughter to play trombone with our band and she has no interest in that at all.

And, I think there are enough members in our area to get a jamb session going someday. If anything, I would love to come up and play drums with you sometime.

Thank you!

I too am so very sorry for your loss. It is never easy and all of the clichés in the world can't eliminate the sorrow. All we can do as human beings is to try to express empathy and compassion for each other.

Gary, Salty speaks for me too. All we can do is to support and look after each other when a friend is going down a rough patch of road. I am sorry for your loss. You're a good guy and I hate to see you suffer.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
