PA Area - Possibly Interesting Drum Sale Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

If you are near Glendale, PA, you might want to check this one out on Saturday:

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/msg/d/drum-kit-and-equipment-repair/6259116856.html

Top hoop on the pictured Dynasonic looks generic, but is not Rogers.

He also has 50 Rogers snare beds, so prepare yourselves to see a lot of cut-up snare drum shells.

Or maybe the doting owner/collector wanted to provide his snare drums with comfortable

sleeping arrangements?

I wonder if he meant "Snare Butts"?

How would sell a snare bed? That's like selling a "bearing edge".

Gonna take a wild guess and say it's probably Dyna snare cradles.

There you go. But that's a lot of those to collect and means a lot of Dynasonics are missing their bridge or got thrown off the bridge.

Dyns are a real tweaky snare to dial in with those cradles and a lot of folks just say eff it and use a regular set of snares.

I would love that black Dyna if it were all original, but something tells me that, upon a close examination, it's probably made up of mixed parts (and maybe a rewrap?). Why would it have a non-Rogers batter hoop?

If someone goes to this sale, fill us in on what was there.
