hi Jesse, your kit reminds me alot of the kit i just finished. (well the floor tom and bass anyway). the lugs, t rods n claws on the bass are like whats on my bass but my bass does not have the holes that would be present for the rail mount and L rod mount (which i found strange) is the floor tom and bass painted on the inside? the lugs on the ft n bd look to me to be the same ? maybe both from same kit ? i have been just as puzzled with my kit as you are with yours. but one thing for sure...with good heads and tuning, these babies sound saweeet! and that bass drum kicks _ _ _

clean em up, slap some remo pinstripes on them and enjoy.

thanks for adding this link. the 920 style lugs are what is on my bd, ft and snare, but not sure if the shells of these 3 are star. are star drums coated on the inside with a dull grayish green (i'm asuming) paint?

Nice looking kit. These are Star, except the tom, it's looks like a Pearl as previously posted. The snare is also a Star. These are non-badged drums that would be sold in any department store. What are the shells? 3 ply w/re-rings or thicker 9 ply w/o re-rings?

As for the interior paint, this confirms 2 things: a) they are Star drums and b) they are later than 67 which is when Star went from 3 to 9 ply shells.

Ask Ralf to take another close look at the lugs and mount on your rack tom.

Im checkin out the plys ... they actually went from 3 to 9? isnt 9 really really thick and would perhaps make a poor tone?
