Opinions on this (rather nice looking) slingerland kit... Last viewed: 1 day ago

Hi

These don't come up in the uk that often. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this set? The seller says that its late 60s early 70s and that the serial numbers on the badges are 118042 117117 118306 121405.

Does this look like an original kit or a good buy?

Thanks

Phil

If the wrap is in good shape on all of the drums--no cracks or missing chunks--the price is on the high side for a set with no snare drum. That price is about $1200 dollars US. I think that would be a good price if there were a Slingerland chrome snare with the set. A matching snare drum would make the set worth every bit of $1400-$1500. I'm stating higher prices for these drums in the UK than in the US becaue of the relative scarcity on your side of the pond.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Cheers- yeah its probably a decent price for the kit in the uk.

Heres another one with snare:

Im not so bothered about unoriginal parts as long as the kit sounds good!
