On the hunt for Rogers parts (lugs-n-legs)

Loading...

Hello all,

Picked up a few old Rogers shells (hence my first post to the forum) and I'm trying to put together a 'players kit'. I don't need perfect condition or period correct but I don't want to drill any holes.

The easy:

20" Holiday kick - missing nine large beaver tail lugs (2 1/4" spacing) and both spurs (mount, hex spur + collet). Might be interested in hoops as well.

12x8" Holiday rack tom - missing all 12 small beaver tail lugs (1 3/4" spacing)

The not-so-easy:

16x16" Holiday floor tom - missing all 16 bread and butter lugs (2 1/8" spacing) and legs (mounting plates & hex legs).. This is the drum I really want/need but those BnBs are giving me the willies. I'd be willing to do the metal epoxy work on cracked ones.

Let me know if you've got anything via a PM.

Thanks,

Brett

Welcome!

what color inlays do you need in the hoops?

I have lots of Beavertail lugs...what year are your drums?

THINK I still have some large B and B lugs too...but need to check

(all with some splits,of course!)

Thanks-

The Holiday kick was an awful re-wrap that I pulled (felt like counter top material). If I can get the floor tom working I'd wrap the kick and rack tom to match; blue glass sparkle.

Kick was painted black inside with no paper label. Existing large beaver tails are spring-type. Had a standard script logo but no idea if original. Kick and rack could be from the same original kit as they had the same badges and the same awful re-wrap.

Rack - Cleveland tag, serial #60968

Floor - Cleveland tag, serial #12599 (w/ pirate script logo)

OK..that's what I wanted to know...

You want the HEAVY B-Tail lugs...with felts in them, correct?

They do seem rather sturdy and all have felt, I believe.

I'm not looking for a proper restoration so a big price differential between lug types would lead me towards the later beaver tail versions (although springs over clips, I think).

The BnBs are higher on my priority list too as that's the drum I'd really like to get working. I completed a 20" Tower (silver sparkle, cleveland, mid-60s?) which I am digging so the 20" Holiday isn't pressing.

The heavy lugs make the drums sound better for some reason though!

I have some pitted heavy ones also I can sale...so price goes down..

I have lighter ones too..

call is yours....

Yeah, I can imagine that. Preferable to keep everything roughly equivalent as well. Let me know what you've got and the price you need and we'll take it from there.

Thanks
