Came across an ad for a Rogers bass drum.....

They also have the 13" tom and 16" floor tom, both also pearl retro-fitted and roached. Asking $225 for the floor and another $189 for the tom. I'd pay $100 for the three and spend who knows to get them back to great.
That one looks almost as if someone went out of their way to trash it as much as they could. Sad!

It would be a nice winter project.
I made them what I feel was a fair offer for the three drums. Both the bass and floor tom have cracked shells, and the 13" isn't far behind. I'd love to have myself a winter project.

Well, the world needs parts drums too I suppose.
Good luck restoring those. You'd need a lot of B&B lugs. Those are too far gone for a winter project. You'll need a Swiss bank account and a couple of years of work.
I'm sure it's not as bad as it seems............. It's much worse..

Yea, they are in pretty bad condition. I'm only hoping that they place selling will realize what I pointed out. I would do what I could, but in the end if all I did was save a tom and found some good hardware, if the price is right I can live with that. But those drums, like that, are worth maybe $100. Am I right?
Maximum. Wait a while and something much better for your $100 will show up. Take those and you might miss the other opportunity.
