New to the forum seeking wisdom on Rogers kits

Hey all, it's good to be here. A couple years ago I inherited a vintage Rogers kit from my uncle when he died. I've been doing a lot of research here and elsewhere and have decided to sell my VERY beautiful Taye Studio Maples and use the money to restore this Rogers kit. So, the layout is this:

The bass, 1 mounted tom and floor tom are from the Holiday line, Dayton I believe, but I will confirm that. According to this site's picture id's they have what appears to be the 'Ohio script'.

1 mounted tom is a Powertone model but is identical to the Holiday mounted tom except for the badge, which appears to be the 'Fullerton script'.

The other 3 or 4 toms only have hardware/heads on the batter side and the Fullerton script like the Powertone. But if I remember correctly, they don't have labels inside. These toms with single heads don't seem very common, what's the scoop?

The snare is a chrome Dynasonic, 5 line, no 'D', very slightly magnetic (not enough to stick but just enough to feel a pull) oval badge with serial number around 43xxx.

Overall, the shells and hardware are in great shape but the wraps are absolutely SHOT... they have a great many miles on them. I am thinking of selling (or trading) the 1 Powertone tom and the 3 batter-head-only toms and buying (or trading for) 1 or 2 Holiday toms to match the others. My pictures are too big to post, so I'll work on that, but in the meantime what do you think? Thanx!

If it's a Dyna, no magnet will stick unless you're close to the tension rods. Dynasonic shells are Chrome over Brass (C.O.B.) and there will be no sticking to the shell at all.

Rogers had tannish labels on the inside for 3 eras, ending with the Fullerton label that was similiar to the 2 Ohio labels, then the came out with the smaller white Rogers 9/72 label on the inside, folllowed by the "Big R" badges.

If the toms you speak of are single headed, otherwise known as "concert" toms, unless you're very fond of those, sell them and restore the 4 piece kit and keep the Tayes as a gig kit.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Thank you for the reply. I thought it was strange, also, about the magnet. Like I said it doesn't stick at all, just pulls ever so slightly. I have no explanation, unless this is a fake dyna.

I don't know why I forgot those were called 'concert toms'...I've been playing for too many years to make a newb mistake like that. Oh well. Any idea what they're worth?

Unfortunately the drums aren't here at my house right now, or I'd go and take a look at those labels again. But I think the pictures will help...and I've got more if we need them.

If I can get the missing Holidays and the others fixed up for the price of selling the 1 Powertone and 3 concert toms I might keep the Tayes. Otherwise I will need to sell them. I'm on a budget right now...so, it is what it is.
