Hi to all. Am an old drummer, started when I was 12, played in rock and roll and Jazz bands in the 60's and 70's. First set was a used Gretch then on to Slingerlands. Went into the military in 1966 and sold my beloved set of 1964 Slingerlands. Retired from the Air Force in 1989. Just started looking for another vintage set of Slingerlands as am about 2 years from retiring and hope to get back to some gigs part time with a blues band. I have started collection with a 1970's Slingerland COB snare with a silver and black Niles badge serial 257478. Will add to that. Would love to find the same color as my old set, Green Sparkle Pearl, but haven't seen much of that around. Next best color would be black pearl.

Will see how it goes. Am going to drive my wife insane as I plan on practicing, practicing, practicing, and more practicing. She will love it.
