Hi...this is my first post so I thought I'd start by sharing pics of a couple of my kits. The first is a 1971 Ludwig 20/13/16 with a 6.5 Supra. I'm the original owner of the snare (a birthday gift from my parents as a kid). I was able to find a matching set from the same year in a classic color I've always liked. 3 ply shells with clear interiors.

The other was a rescue job. I bought this 60's Gretsch Round Badge kit (22/13/16) for $100 from someone who had painted over a satin flame finish with red paint. After many months of cleaning and removing paint, I was able to get the hardware back in shape but the red paint was stuck in the cracks and spiderwebs of that old satin finish. I lived with it for a while but it looked pretty crappy so I finally caved and rewrapped them. While no longer a collector's kit, it's a pretty sweet player's kit for a hundred bucks and a lot of elbow grease.
