been working on this kit for a couple of months now. seems i'm always looking for a floor tom to complete a kit. this time it came first! i then found a ride tom and a matching pioneer on ebay. the hard part was the bass drum. got a beautiful shell but had to come up with the pieces almost piece by piece. got the hoops in a few days ago and repainted those and added some jack lawton inlays. added some period original heads to the bass drum as well. many of the parts and even drums came from some forum members here. thats the way i like to do it. they match up pretty well for orphans. tuned them and setup them up today. they just sing! 20/12/14 with matching 5x14 pioneer. most of the drums are spring of 65 with the floor tom being a 67. i'm digging them. sorry for the small pic. ive got to figure out how to do pics better here. just wanted to share.....

Beautiful Mike, congratulations.

I love everything about those Clubbies. (looks, sound, etc...)

I'm working on my second Club Date restoration for the moment.

A bit like yours,... getting them together piece by piece and collecting parts from all around, including forum members.

Mikey - You are one of the biggest Clubbie lovers I have ever met. It's fun for me to watch you build your collection of vintage club date drums. This last one is another beauty. If I ever get down there, you'll have to set them all up for me so I can play them all.

Nice save, Mike. Great kit.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
