In celebration of Rush's 40th Anniversary Tour, Neil Peart decided to do an upgrade on his R30 kit by taking advantage of DW's new wood inlay technology. Teaming up with DW's John Good, Neil set out to create a very special R40 kit thay would be crafted from DW's Timeless Romanian River Oak wood and an assortment of detailed laser-cut exotic woods. The R40 Icon snare drum is a 6.5"x14" 13-ply VLT Bog Oak shell that is sealed in a clear, high-gloss lacquer and is accented by gold-plated hardware. Each snare will come with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and DW's Deluxe snare drum bag.
