Hi

Thanks to everyone who has mailed about tickets, booth spaces and for vendor info and also a big thank you to all those who have already purchased tickets. Its a great way to help support the show and get entered in the special Raffle for the Craviotto Snare!

Here are a few Questions

Q. At what time do the doors open on Saturday and Sunday and is their any preview on Friday

A. Saturday General admission opens at 10 a.m. with a 9 a.m. early bird access

Sunday General admission opens at 9:30 a.m. with a 9 a.m. early bird access

Friday is not a public access day but There will be VIP admission on Saturday and Sunday Prior to the show

There will be a full day of load in on friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Also Bob Dylan recently announced he and drummer George Receli will be playing directly accross the street on Friday

night with Elvis Costello opening

Q. Hi Jes Is the saturday evening clinic and performance part of the event ticket or are separate tickets being sold?

A. Each days ticket is good for all events. The main clinics were scheduled after the sales floor closing so that vendors can attend the performances on Saturday evening and late Sunday afternoon

Q. Must all dealers preregister prior to the show? My schedule is very tight on friday,I would love to display and sell some of my collection so I guess what I am asking is is this, will you be registering dealers on Saturday and Sunday.

A.While we prefer & encourage pre registration we also understand that this is a musicians event on 2 musicians work days and therefore we will be registering vendors on all three days but we must confine it to preshow hours so say 8-10 a.m. Saturday and 8-9 on Sunday.

Q. Looks to be a great show! I am wondering if you are offering any discount rate to non selling vendors. I would like to arrange a booth for fellow board members to use as a hang and resting place and also as a means to get the numerous board members a place to meet up and possibly store their purchases while they attend the show. We could trade banner space or good ole $$$'s but I was more or less curious if this was something you would consider offering at your show

A. Thank you for the positive support. There are some non vendor booths being made available

We are offering discounted rates for educators/instructors booths and would certainly work with you or any other Groups on booths for your organizations.

Q.Is this a Vintage or Custom intensive drum show?

A. It is a drum show and we have no line between the two "tags".

But there will be super high end custom drums and a vast array of vintage

The raffles page at the drumexpo.com will be updated this weekend with lots of pictures including some great snares courtesy of our friends at Sonor, Gretsch & Craviotto

Also a special thank you to Cherie's friend and fellow vintage collector Frankie Banali who donated a very nice brass drum used on his recordings with Matt Sorum along with a signed copy of the CD.

Check out his site for his 3 ply 26" Bass drum Collection

We would also like to welcome our newest additions Vaughncraft and Cooperman Drums who both will be displaying some fine products at the show

20 Days and counting........

We would like to extend a public thanks to Ronn @ Dunnett and Paul Mason @ Tempus for their support of the show and constant enthusiasm.

The raffles will feature both a Stainless and Fiberglass snare!

There is also half a bus full of other great Giveaways and Raffles

Including snares from Craviotto, Ocheltree, Gretsch, Sonor, Ludwig, Yamaha, Tempus & Dunnett

A slew hardware from

Gibraltar, Axis, ProMark, Keller Shells, Vaughcraft, Hyperbass, Shure, and Rhythm Tech

There will be some great individual Zildjian Rides as well as 2 complete cymbal set packages of the new Armand and K series to be raffled on each day with the drawings just before the final clinics.

Bosphorus and Istanbul cymbals also have contributed cymbals to the raffle pool.

The Drummers Collective and Virtual Drummers School are each gving away scholarships at the show.

We are laying out the booth and final floor plan and should have detailed maps up on the site soon

Due to the volume of attendees who mentioned bringing in consignments for the weekend we have just enlarged the consignment area to meet the demand so there should be some great suprises to be had.

The show is now 20 days away and preshow ticket sales will be drawing to a close soon. Remember all pre show ticket sales are entered in the special drawing to win a Craviotto solid maple snare and really go a long way to helping support the show

The clinic's and duet performances are going to be excellent and certainly worth anyones $15 pre show ticket price, the raffles, drums and camaraderie are a great perk!

The newest additions to the Vendor Roster include

Cooperman, PAS, Nodar Rode, The Drum Shop, Grover,

Drum Head, Odery and True Line.

We will also be hosting some educator booths which will include Bob Moses, Kenwood Dennard, John Ramsey and more to come

If you are an educator and would like to display yourself and recruit some students contact us about reduced rates.FYI

We are also still seeking help in event day managment as we are looking for someone who may be interested in maning a "Hear The Difference" booth which will feature like configuration Vintage Gretsch sets in both 3 and 6 ply set ups

If you have a good bit of knowledge you would be willing to share and have a solid unnderstanding of Gretsch RB era drums drop us a line Cool

Tickets are available automatically online at thedrumexpo.com

If you have any questions, comments or ideas you would like to share please feel free to drop us a line

Thank you all for your support

Hi

here is some more Q & A and i''l start with WFLKurt and Repete

The consignment booth is indeed looking to be filled with some killer gear, I overheard a phone call discussing a Land Cruiser full of OBP! sets snares etc.

It was recently decided to dedicate a larger space to house all the consignments and we increased the booth space.

The booth will operate on a simple disclosure and release form with asking price and lowest point selling price.

I would urge anyone who can provide even a 1 page detail form with your drum or drums to do so.

This will be a great aide to those manning the booth as well as those who are interested in your offering, so any info you can provide would be ideal such as original standing, date, shell type, history etc. 8)

I will be trying to get some time at the consignment booth but I will be at the Reperc booth and managing the clinics so If anyone would like to help in working with Kurt at the consigment booth drop me an email at info@thedrumexpo.com or drop me a Private Message. Its a great chance to help the show & marketplace as well as getting first dibs on the gear that walks in :D

The consignment booth will run from opening on Saturday morning until 3 pm.m on sunday at which time we will request that all sellers claim their items before the show closes at 4

There were a few people asking various questions about the Steve Smith/ Pete Lockett clinics on Saturday and Cindy Blackman clinic on Sunday, and the answer is yes the sales floor will be closed at this time.

Q. Are the clinics included in the show ticket price or are the tickets additional cost per event?

A. There is no additional charge for show attendees or vendors and we will be selling tickets for those who can only attend the evening clinics.

Q. Where is parking located in relation to the venue, if i were to bring some drum sets for consigment would I have to haul them across acres of parking lot?

A. The facility has an onsight parking garage as well as adjacent parking. The show will be well staffed and we will be able to assist as much as possible. There is an easy load in door located directly across from the main entyrance to the Expo center on Elm St on the east side of the building ( there are maps on the Expo Centers web site) which would allow for a short load in.

Q. I mailed you about getting some copies of the poster on Friday and had one more thought,Where is the T shirt's stickers or drum sticks???

A. I did get the mailing and I will get you some posters out today Thank you again for your offer,

The T shirts and stickers are underway but won't be available until showtime but hit me up at the show and i'll make sure you get some :occasion5: Due to time we will not be able to get any sticks together for this show
