I came across this stuff recently, seems mismatched to say the least. I'm looking for help in determining year and value. Thanks

From what I could find the snare seems mid 50's (no badge), 14" x 5".

Here is the snare

This is the tom that was connected to the bass, it appears to have been painted. I see no id markers.

Very cool score! Those are Leedy lugs on the tom.

I'm no guru, just a vintage drum junkie!

The bass measures 16", the small tom is 12", and the larger japan one is 14"

Hope this helps.

The bass drum is a converted Radio King marcher I think. It has a tuning key holder and key mounted verticaly, and I'm willing to bet, snare beds, unless the bearing edges were done.If it was made as a bass drum,it wouldn't need a tuning key.I agree about the Leedy tom, probably 40"s.MIJ floor tom, possibly Pearl made, but the share drum is curious.Maybe a WFL super or concert model brass shell?I haven't seen many of them around.:2Cents:

Did you buy this off CL in the Sacramento area?

Never play it the same way once.

WFL made a straight sided metal snare in 1953, but it's in the Ludwig Book as a 6 1/2 X 14. This could be a later Ludwig Standard straight metal shell w/ old hardware. You need to determine what metal it is, & take some photos of the inside bearing edge. Is there a "shadow" where the badge used to be (is it a keystone ?). (BTW you might try reloading your photos in a normal size, & facing upright).

Yes,but the Standard snares were chrome,or unplated aluminum. This drum ooks like a nickle over brass. On one of the pics,1 lug to the left of the strainer,it looks like a brass badge with lots of green patina.

I think the OP may be a hit and run too. These drums were being talked up on another drum forum. The bass may also be a tenor tom, which were rarer than marching snares.Definately NOT a 16" bass drum though.
