Need help with ORANGE kit Last viewed: 1 day ago

Loading...

Hey delicious forum dudes, we had an accident where a drum kit got lost from an occupied cellar, and we're trying to determine the max vs min price it could have had. it was very rusty and had been stored without heat, fluxing in temperatures from freezing to hotter for many years at an anarchist rehersal bunker, with a door and possibility for heating, but many times we were there the heat had been left off in the middle of norwegian winter and this had been going on for at least 5 years. It was from the defunct ORANGE producer of kits, and was from 1980 i believe. Dont have any pics at hand, but it seemed like a pretty standard kit, none of us knew it could be valuable. I suggested re compencating the guy 2000$ for it. He is however a notorious criminal where i live and we are afraid of being horribly ripped off, ^^= Any help on this will be very appreciated. Have nice days guys ;)

Very rare French drums, but if in bad shape probably not worth much. Maybe nkr 2000 or so.

if he's a notorious criminal in your parts, how do you know that he wasn't behind it??

If he's a notorious criminal in your parts, why on earth did you pick him to be your drummer? Did he bring a gun to the audition? I'm not sure I understand the relationship of the gangster to the drums. Is he the owner? Your ex-drummer? The owner of the rental space? How does 'Uncle Mario' figure in to the equation?

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Since you didn't describe the particular units or sizes of the kit, there's no way for any delicious dudes to appraise it. (Your problem is this: a set that has been in a Norwegian basement for 5 years will have a very different value from the original new set, or a replacement set. It also sounds like this drummer abandoned the kit & ignored it for all these years, so why is it your responsibility ? ) (sounds like your being ripped off at $2000 )
