Need help identifying old Leedy wood rim toms Last viewed: 2 hours ago
I have never heard of Leedy "Alliance" drums (?). The only WWII era Leedys that I am aware of are Dreadnoughts . It looks like those photos are from the Modern Drummer magazine article that I wrote.
I got them off the net somwhere. But I told the story of the Battleship, photo from my hobby pics. !i Only Battleship to sink a German sub, she cut it in half at about 3/4 speed with her bow at Jutland, they`re dangerous even if you`re under her guns. Later she retired and was scrapped !i
I think the other drum is a Dreadnought series too !! That badge says so !i
.....76/#XK9207 Phonic Sound Machine D454/D-505 snares !i
Awesome web page Cooper and great story Oddball. Here is the source of my info and a pic of my Leedy 10% WWll Drums..whatever they're called.[Attachment: 55184]

Thank you for your input. Do you think mine have been refinished? I am not sure I want to hold on to them. Do they have any value as is? The rest of the set is no where to be found. I think I will stick with my original green vistalite for playing around.
