On the backing plate.... you can find hens teeth easier. I made one using some flat aluminum stock when I needed one. Next time I will use something that will hold threads better. Is there a small wheel on the lever about midway up from the bottom? Thats the part that glides in the slot. If its gone, you need a lever.

To get it up an running, you can get a lower line strainer (with the flat plate face and simple block letter stamped "ROGERS" string plate mounted higher up on the strainer body) as it uses the same shell mount holes. I have one that will likely become available soon, but I am in the middle of sorting out my Rogers snares now, so nothing is going until I'm all set myself! :)

As to the snare butt, you have to use the correct one. The hole spacing is close (narow) and I don't know of any others that have similar hole spacing. I also have one of these (significant pitting, but fine otherwise) that may be available as well.

If you don't find another solution, try PMing me in a couple weeks and I'll see where I'm at.

I will also have a PowerTone shell (COB) and some lugs too most likely- I'm making one 'keeper' out of two that are both suffering from a few issues each...

It could be a couple of things with that strainer. A picture of the disassembled parts would be a big help.

Finding individual replacement parts for the strainer is difficult.

As mentioned above, there are other strainers that will fit: the Bantam strainer from a Luxor snare, the Statite strainer from a Tower snare, the later Swivomatic strainer from a Ptone or Dyna snare.

Finding the pinch plate for the butt plate is tough, it's much easier to buy the complete unit.

On your lever...........

The bottom hole fits the bearing on the main body. The middle hole is something I am not familiar with. The top hole should have a bearing similar to the one on the main body. This bearing fits into the slotted throw off adjusting screw plate. As the lever is moved forward or back the bearing glides in the slot, raising the snares to the locked position or releasing them.

You need a lever.

Finding a good clockface to replace yours, (and at a decent price) could take a bit of time. You could use one of the elongated Swivomatic or any of the others Dan C mentioned. If you are handy, you could replace that missing bearing, I suppose. That is something I have never needed to do yet, but "parts is parts." And if you could find a bearing of the right size, its definitely a possibility. Again, this is not something I have done...yet.
