Greetings,
Anyone have any guesses as to the make/model of this stand? I recently came across one on ebay for a great price. I found a second, matching one on Reverb, also for a great price. The only markings anywhere is a sticker on one leg that reads "Made in W. Germany". They remind me of the 70's Pearl stands that were very popular back in the day. Nice beefy tilter on this. The tilter threading (where the cymbal and felts go) is 6mm and the tilter angle adjuster is/was 6mm. All the other screws nuts were 8mm. I say "were", because the screws were rusty and slightly bent. They were carriage screws (smooth round head with a square underneath the head), and it's very hard to find metric carriage screws here in the US, so I replaced them with 5/16" carriage screws and re-threaded the T-nuts accordingly (I replaced the tilter angle adjuster with a 1/4" carriage screw and used an older Ludwig 1/4" wing nut). The T-screw that controls the tripod spread is original (8mm).
The person I bought it from on Reverb said it may have been made by Camber, because of the "Made in W. Germany" sticker. That would make sense, but I'm not sure Camber ever made stands? Anyway, it cleaned up great, works great and is sturdy and lightweight. My kind of stand!
Any help you could give me I would appreciate. I just like knowing what I have, and as a Certified Gear Nerd, I don't get stumped that often. Not because I'm smart; just because I'm a Certified Gear Nerd 😎
Thanks for your help!
