My New Frakenstein Kit Last viewed: 2 days ago

I found this kit on the Austin craiglist, here are the details....

9x13 Ludwig 3ply clear interior tom

14x22 Ludwig 3ply clear interior kick

15x16 DW collectors series floor tom

The two Ludwig drums had the covering and badges removed and stained in a walnut finish, the badges were never put back on and the kick has Slingerland type legs.

The DW is in a cherry finish with after market leg mounts and legs. This drum also has re-rings, I'm not sure how thick the shell is, but I'm guessing it must be fairly thin with re-rings.

The kit came with a kick drum bag and assorted heads.

I paid $125 plus a vintage 20" Zildjian ride that had a slight keyhole and I didn't really need.

I see a perfect kit for a re-wrap.Cool1

That would make a kick-ass gig, studio, or rehearsal kit! Make sure the wood shells can handle the added thickness of the wrap without giving you headaches with heads later. What color/finish are you thinking of using?

$125. It was a great score. I would have pulled the trigger too on a kit like that. Excellent individual components.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

I figure the DW floor tom alone is worth more than what I paid. I'm thinking of wmp or turquoise sparkle, but that will come later, after a few gigs to fund the re-wrap and to give them a test drive.Car Driving2

Bingo on that DW floor tom and your choice of wraps would look terrific! You`ve got a good plan there for the re-wrap financing johnnyringo and best of luck in your project. We`ll look forward to your pics when completeted.

I dig the finish on the 2 Ludwigs just like they are but It's going to be sweet with any finish you decide on.

Believe it or else!
