I initially bought this Sonor Safari kit for rehearsal, but I decided to leave my Rogers kit at home and try these out at a couple gigs downtown. I figured they would be easier to load in and out, especially for downtown gigs. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they sounded. The first gig we had was at the Marriott hotel in one of the ball rooms, I had two condenser mics, one on the kick and one overhead, the 16" kick sounded very punchy and big. The second gig, (where the pictues were taken), I was un-miced because of issues with the house pa and the kit still sounded great. So now I'm thinking I may use this kit more for gigging because it's so easy to move around. If anyone is looking for an inexpensive kit that sounds great and is easy to transport, I suggest you check these out, thanks.

Been gigging with one of these for the past 8 or 9 months. Outstanding sound and quality for such an inexpensive kit.
