He's 8 yrs old now. He's taking lessons from an old friend who's a great drummer and also the band director at a local high school. Need to find a good little kit for him soon.

Great pic ! I teach drumset to alot of children this age and thank heavens he didn`t end up as a guitar player, lol.Hope he enjoys it and sticks(excuse the pun) with it. If the teacher makes it fun the learning is sure to follow.

Very cool!

Your friend has good taste in drums too. From what I can see in the picture, a Gretsch SSB kit (matching snare on the shelf), 2 Supra snares (5" and 6.5"), Acrolite, Ludwig Standard and a Camco? Based on this, I'm sure there are more in the room. :)

You're grandson's ears will get a great sampling of legendary sounding drums.

With those other snares surrounding him he has no choice but to be a drummer! Looks liek a natural.

My grandson has been playing for a couple of years now. I refurbished a 12", 14", 20" w/Jazzfest Club Date kit for him because the drums are a perfect size for shorty drummers!

Congrats, you're the proud grandpa of a drummer!

John

Too many great drums to list here!
