Here's a fifties Slingerland Student Radio King with a bunch of stuff wrong..............

Some replacement clips and t-rods

Non-original rims

Missing throw arm

Label glue residue

Dirty, unpolished

Old heads and old Snappy strainer wires

Re-badged incorrectly as a Leedy

Still sounds great with a moongel.... I'm diggin it so far

I'll spend a few hours later polishing her up, gotta play her as-is for now, Yes Sir

I think that drum is perfect as it is... enjoy it Kev. Looks like it would have some bark to it!

Kevin, Really nice snare!! To me function is important more so than being 100% original. Long as your happy with the sound and look of the drum that's all that matters. You can always add the correct parts in the future if desired. My stuff is far from perfect and that's fine by me. Enjoy~! ;)

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Kevin, its like you once told me- You will be less worried about putting the first ding in it. Play it for the sound, not the looks.

I just got one of these up and running this week. It has also been through a lot. It started out duco and then got spray painted black and spent a lot of time in a very hot and dry area. I got it back up looking and sounding great. These snares are awesome! The single flange hoops sound so good! Congrats on a cool drum!
