I have around 15 vintage BD mufflers I am going to put on Feebay, and I have noticed I think I have 8 that are Leedy!
Was that the brand of choice back then?
I have some nice Ludwig ones too...

I have a vintage '20s kit, and my muffler is Ludwig & Ludwig. In putting the kit together, I noticed most of the 'trappings' (Chinese toms, temple blocks, trap tables) were either L&L or Leedy. They're very similar to each other. Weren't they both owned by Conn during that era?
Good luck with your sale.

Jeez, Blair, I love those old bass mufflers! I have a mint Ludwig from the sixties (I believe) and a MIJ from the same era that I use for gigging. I also have a 1920's Ludwig with the patina of a hundred year old cymbal, no chrome left whatsoever. It still works perfectly though! I don't know why the young drummers don't use them much anymore. They do the job and, at least in my opinion. look great. I'll be watching for yours to come up. I'll probably purchase one. Best of luck, Blair!

I still have, and use, my Ludwig 60's external bass drum muffler!
I had some fun sorting thru all I have!
I am keeping 5...and still have quite a few FS....
Some are in real good shape for their age...
Don't know what the most popular one was, but it sure wasn't Leedy & Ludwig, I've been looking for one of those for a long time!
Good luck on the sales.
