If you compare Ringo(Ludwig) to Dennis(Camco), then yes: Dennis kit is better quality.

But when you take Buddy(Rogers) to account: he is the winner :)

Definitely 60's by popularity belonged to Ludwig, then Rogers

70's are still Ludwig, Rogers,

80's Yamaha, Tama

90's Pearl, DW

00's DW, Pearl,"customs" like OCDP

Nowadays: DW, Pearl, Ludwig, "customs" sjc, truth etc.

Selmer and King in the 60s.

Buffet in the 70s.

Martin and Ovation in the 80s.

Warring in the 90s.

MINI in 2000s.

Bottom line - whatever Tre Cool and Travis Barker happen to be playing.

p.s. really like the kit, AZBill

Amen brother! My favorite drummer is Billy Cobham yet there are plenty of drummers out there that don't like his style, it's all preference for the most part. Personally I don't like The Beatles but I dislike The Beach Boys even more, to each is own I alWAYs say.

How can anyone not like Billy Cobham!? I just about wore out the Total Eclispe album and, at the time wonder what in the heck a "Hinger Touch Tone" snare drum might be. Saw him at a clinic in 1982 (I think) and he was a monster.

To be fair, when I was a teenager I didn't appreciate the Beatles. I mean I liked a few things, but didn't "get it" until college. No idea why.

Back to Billy Cobham, that wide open tuning really spoke to me. Drums that sounded like musical instruments in a contemporary music setting...outstanding, especially in a world so occupied with drums that were dead as door nails. So having said that, then two thumbs up for Fibes. (at least I think that was what he was using at the time before switching to Tama.)
