Mikey, I'm a Mac guy, but I know a little about PC's too. Sounds like a program conflict. Try uninstalling and then re-installing a fresh copy of the software. Unless you saved/backed-up, all those photo files somewhere else, they may get lost in the shuffle. Try the fresh copy. See if that doesn't fix it. I'm assuming you already ran a diagnostic program???

Good luck... I -hate- computer problems.

Don't forget to get you MS updates.

What operating system? Windows 7, Vista, or XP?

(If you're running Vista... I would suggest upgrading to 7 or downgrading to XP!!)

In any case, I would suggest (as JRichard said above) running Windows Update first. Even if you have the automatic updates running. I've seen one set of updates create problems and the very next set fix them.

Also, I would suggest checking to see if there are any updates for the Easyshare program.

If this fails, google the problem. You will find solutions, but as a warning sometimes they get pretty "technical." Techies sometimes forget that they don't have the same thought processes as normal people!

Yes, I can say that because I AM a school district techie!!!

Good luck!

Mike T is right on this one.

It hadn't occured to me you might be using something older than XP.

There's more than likely some sort of conflict between your Easyshare software and your operating system that for whatever reason just recently reared its ugly head.

I have the Easyshare software because I have a Kodak digital camera as well as a Kodak all-in-one printer. For the most part I like it, but even running XP on my main computer and Vista on my wife's, we still run into an occasional conflict bewteen the OS and the Kodak software (especially on the Vista).

And it's also possible, especially if your Easyshare software is relatively new, that your machine with ME 2000 isn't enough machine to adequatly run the software.

So, again, MikeT's right: it's probably time to retire that old computer. Unlike our beloved vintage drums, vintage computers just don't (can't) cut it...
