Finished!!!!
Roughly 30 hours of chrome cleaning later......
Man, they sure did turn out great!!
KUDOS on all the hard work....:):)
Ditto with my brother Kev. !!
I appreciate all the input. No way do I less of them, I can't wait to get them finished and hear them!About 10 years ago, I had a. Baltimore Drum bop kit in 10-14-18 configuration. The 4" separation between the drums was perfect. I often wondered why more manufacturers didn't offer this. The 12-16-20 set up I hope, will give me that sound difference as well.I'll post some pics when they're finished.
My current bop kit is these sizes (see below) and I agree it is really perfect. Plus easier to drag around.
And great work on the restoration!
Played them a bit today. After some fine tuning, they sound amazing!!!!Eye Ball
I took them outside and took a few more shots. Was going to sell them, but I've changed my mind after how they sound, look, and all the work I put into them. Again, those 3 ply shells just sing! They floor tom is really resonant. Just in case anybody wonders, I put Remo Vintage Coated Emporers both top and bottom of the toms. The BD batter is a Remo Power stroke smooth white. What a vintage tone.
