Does anybody know a quick and easy method of removing double sided tape from metal bass drum hoops. I took the inlay off but it left the tape on the hoop. so far I have tried goo gone, but that takes forever. any help would appreciated.

Try some Mineral Turpentine... Usually works, dissolves the adhesive..

I use WD40 for stuff like that, even on cymbals and got good results.
