Me and Carmine

Loading...

Went to see Carmine Appice with Vanilla Fudge tonight.

They can still bring it!

5th row right, so great view of Carmine.

They opened with a cover of The Who ,I Can See For Miles., and closed with You Keep Me Hanging On. Their version of Curtis Mayfield's People Get Ready was outstanding. Carmine's solo on the song Shotgun was the highlight of the show.

I'm not shy, so I waited after the show and got a photo with Carmine, as well as having all of them autograph a photo and have the 3 original members autograph their first album.

The 20" Istanbul cymbal on his left sounded amazing out front, and I told him so. He was happy to chat briefly about his cymbals and his ddrums.

I'm going to sleep with a smile on my face tonight.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

1 of my anthems "set me free "the drums tripped me out when i saw them at electric theater i think i was very conscious state of mind- that evening, I remember Green Apple warmed up for them, what a show; they are responsible for the way music impacted a 17 year old.....very surreal to see it all in my minds eye like wow man ...
