Maple finish rb tom

The folks at FORK'S say this is an original finish RB 8 x 12.

"Original. "Ambered" up really nice."

I mentioned the badge placement next to the outer ply seam and asked if they could remove a lug to check for the original lacquer shade underneath.

Anyone want to chime in?

Never play it the same way once.

Looks stripped to me . Look at the outer ply it looks messed up from stripping the wrap off ...

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

I don't see where they claim that it is original in the ad. Was that in response to your question?

"Gretsch 1960s 8x12 Mounted Tom

Good condition. Lots of scratches on the shell. Missing one of the mufflers and both knobs. Orange Gretsch sticker inside the drum. Serial #113156"

I agree with 1966bmx that it looks like it has been stripped.

Collecting information about the following for ongoing research projects:
Gretsch drums with serial numbers,
Ludwig Keystone and B/O badge drums with serial numbers and date stamps,
Ludwig Standards from 1968-73, and
Ludwigs with paper labels from 1971-72

Looks stripped to me,at that time the drum companies would not make a shell with an outer ply that had even pinhole knots or really small ones like that shell has.
