Manchester NH drum show

Loading...

I just wanted to remind everyone about the Manchester NH drum show on Oct 6th and 7th.

http://repercussions.org/

I am going to have a Ludwig history booth and will be displaying my Ludwig collection. I plan on setting up next to Ludwig and then on the other side of me I will maintain the consignment area. I have a few questions: I have a lot of stuff and obviously can't take it all. I guess I want to bring the most appealing stuff. Here's what I was thinking:

20's bass drum with painted head

Marble 1941 wfl set w/twin strainer snare.

couple of twin strainer wfl drums and the wfl victorious.

5x13 porta pak wfl

Ringo set

maybe a mod orange and psych red tom from my sets.

jazzette set from the 70's

couple of canisters

catalogs and wfl sticks along with a 1976 belt buckle.

various color swatches.

various pics.

I don't want to get to crazy but wondered if this is stuff that would interest anyone as far as seeing in a display. I'll have a lot of work ahead of me as I am also planning to watch over the consignment booth. Fortunately I have a great girlfriend that is going to help me. Just curious what everyone thinks. Thanks.

-Kurt

I thought about it Rich. I am only going to have so much space and I figured the Ringo set would appeal to a wider audience. Besides, what is Ludwig history without Ringo? I might bring a 9x13 from the psych red and mod orange to display. I think that should cover it. I need to make a display case as I am not crazy about people handling the paper stuff I have. We'll see what I can come up with.

Poor initial planning, or so they say.

Still planning on going though - I want to see and support many of the artists performing and giving clinics.

I wonder if it has anything to do with CW's wonderful personality?

I know she doesn't reply to my emails and put a kit on hold for another buyer that I was discussing with her. I since found a suitable replacement. See attached.

Who are the clinicians?

Hi All

I am Jes I am I working with Cherie on this show which is shaping up to be a fantastic event.I am looking forward to the Ludwig display Kurt, thanks for stepping up and bringing these out to share.

For some reason there were rumors the show was cancelled:confused: but nothing is further from the truth and the show is continuing to grow even today

While I am not a self confessed gear nut there should be a massive array of everything as we just signed on are Odery, Grover Tempus and Cooperman drums adding to Craviotto,DW Ludwig, Ocheltree and many many other drum makers not to mention cymbals from Bosphorus Spizzichino and Zildjian

The clinics are really going to be the highlight for me as the artists and duet performances should be incredible. I have studied with some of these cats and I can promise a great educational experience for all.

On the list are Cindy Blackman, Steve Smith, Pete Lockett, Bob Moses, Kenwood Dennard, Dave Dicenso, Sergio Bellotti, Dave Mattacks, Jerome Deupree, Andrew Barr and Neal Smith

There will be two clinic halls running and Steve Smith and Pete locket will be perfoming a duet on saturday night after their individual clinics

Also on Saturday Bob Moses will join Kenwood Dennard after their individual clinics for a new music duet.

We hope as many as possible can come and help support the artists and show!

For those living in the region you are very fortunate as this is a starting step in a larger plan to bring more quality music and percussive education to the New England area. Keep an eye and ear open as we are planning a performance and music workshop featuring Brian Blade and the Fellowship which should be another "Must attend" clinic

There are still vendor booths available starting at $150 with disounts on larger booth areas

There will be a consignment area so bring Kurt some good Ludwigs!!

Pre show Tickets are on sale at $15 for 1 day and $25 for 2 days early bird/ VIP and Golden Circle passes are also available on a limited basis

Thanks to Johnny C., all advance ticket purchases are entered in a special drawing to WIN a Craviotto Solid 6 1/2" snare!Party

We have over $15,000 in other raffles with 2 complete cymbal sets from Zildjian, Snares From Gretsch, Dunnett, Ocheltree, Tempus, Ludwig & Sonor

Other prizes include a Drummers Collective Scholarship, Virtual Drummer Scholarships, Hardware From Gibraltar, Axis, Hyper Bass, Keller Shells, Rhythm Tech, ProMark, Shure and assorted cymbals from Bosphorus & Zildjian

We are still seeking some volunteers to aid in show day production and there are some perksD' Drummer

We could also use someone with a good bit of experience with 6 ply & 3 ply Gretsch to lend a hand managing the "HEAR THE DIFFERENCE" booth which will feature sets in both 3 ply and 6 ply configurations for A/B sonic comparison.

Full details, schedule and accomodation info can be found on the site

Definitely not cool discussing Rob Cook's finances on a public forum DOH

another class act from the world of CW Mind Blowi

a more appropriate reply would have been

"I can't speak for Rob and CW but it appears they each saw the show going indifferent directions. It didnt appear that it was a personality issue. I still think it will be a great show! please visit ( Place your link here)"
