Ludwig WMP 1941 toms

Loading...

Hey guys - longtime viewer, first time poster. I want to know what you think about the potential value of these drums. They are Ludwig, and from what I can tell- the Marine Pearl Soloist Special from the 1941 catalog.

I have the 13" & 16" Toms. Both have their original top hoops with original tension rods and clips, as well as (2) mufflers per drum as well. The 13" is missing (2) clips & (2) tension rods. No bottom hoops or tension rods/clips for either drum. It also looks as if at some point someone added floor tom leg hardware, that is not original as it seems like this era used a cage stand to mount the floor tom.

I am considering putting them up for bid on eBay. Any thoughts as to the value? Or, before I put on eBay, feel free to make me an offer via PM.

Sorry for the quality of pictures, my cell camera isn't the best. I will post more pics when I can.

I have what I believe to be the original calfskin heads. And no, I lost the floor tom legs in a move, though they might be found someday in a box, somewhere in my basement...

The tom is a wfl with wfl's version of imperial lugs.

I've never seen those on a tom before, only snares.
