Ludwig Standard Last viewed: 2 minutes ago

I just got a chrome Standard and the serial number is 32,xxx. According to the chart, that places it as 1964. Am I reading this right? If so, it was a great deal. It was pretty grimey but it cleaned up very nicely and the guy threw in a stand as well. All for $35.

Is there another list somewhere that I missed?

Oops. I just looked at the "Badges" section. The Standards are from 68-82. It's still a pretty drum. Hooking up a buffer pad to my drill really gets the shine going on the shell.

And since it has the P-83 strainer, that should make it late 60's, early 70's, if I'm reading things correctly. I just like to know what I have for if I ever sell it, which I probably will eventually. I don't want to give out false info on Ebay or Craigslist.

your right on track. the standards that you are talking about were 68-71 basically. their serial numbers were not in sequence with the normal badges. the chrome standard shell is kinda hard to find. most are just the aluminum finish. ive got the aluminum finish version. they sound great. the p83's are neat in that they are some of the only ones with the block logo as opposed to the usual script logos that are seen on p83's.
