once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

You've never seen blue mist? It's probably the most common color for the Standard line.

Yep...Blue Mist is the most common color! I've attached some pictures of my Standard kit from almost 15 years ago. My kit was a very early production, as the shells had the white Resocoat interior, and not the Granitone.

I questioned the seller on his price and here's his reply..."What do you feel is a fair price? New doesn't sound like this. The wood takes on a tone over time. Why do you think people will pay more for a vintage guitar than a new one? Tone".

Is this guy clueless or what? I responded by playing "drum police" with him. I really hate doing that, but there are just those times when I feel the need to educate those who think they are sitting on a gold mine!

I questioned him on shipping - figured Ebay shipping calculator was doing it's normal thing. His reply:

"Sorry, that's just my estimate. Can you tell me how much to ship to Seattle and what carrier? I'd be happy to ship however you want, they are in new hard shell cases."

That ebay pic is all crushed and pumped, with a yellow cast to boot. Wrap looks different...

Very nice kit you had there. I reckon you musta got at least eighty grand for it back in the day....:)
