Thoughts on this snare?

https://wheeling.craigslist.org/msg/6131695677.html

Seems like an odd combination of hardware and finish?

There's some yellowing under the lugs, but those spacers seem to be add-ons. What's the time period of that strainer?

I think that is a new drum.

The new keystone looks like the old and it looks like it says MONROE on the badge

Newer drum also come with the spacers and newer throw.

That thing is all over the place. The interior looks to be white and I even think it has reinforcement rings. Throughthe grommet you can see a line that I don't believe is the bearing edge.

That's a p86 millennium strainer. Not sure when it was introduced but believe it was not before 2000 or so. What is your main issue with this drum? Are you hoping it's a '60s vintage? It's not. The strainer was probably added on after the fact to replace a p85, although it could have been ordered with the p86 an upgrade. I did that around 10 years ago. Not sure when they started to use spacers under the lugs. One last thing, owning a set of '63 super classics in WMP including a 1963 jazz festival snare, the WMP on those pictures just doesn't look right to my eyes.

No real issue per se, just curious about the cost versus the authenticity. I don't mind Frankensteins, I'm just not into overpaying. And I agree about that WMP as well. Per BEC's comment above, the grommet doesn't seem to match the age of the badge. Perhaps it was replaced when the wrap was.

Am I seeing 10 lugs? That's a modern rather than vintage Jazz Festival thing. The originals are 8 bowtie lugs, no black spacers. Yes the Millennium strainer is modern too (that's Millennium as in the year 2000). Ludwig produce die cast rims, but it's hard to say if those are original to the drum. The WMP is not the vintage sort from the 60s or 70s. The older stuff has a different pattern and with larger chunks.

The keystone badge is unusual. The serial number (11269) would suggest 1964 or so, but it is on a Monroe badge. Plus it has the little registered trademark symbol (r) and that didn't come in until around serial 59500 according to Gier (p15) in Serial Number Based Dating Guides for Vintage Ludwig Drums. But the move to Monroe was many years later. Could it be some sort of reproduction badge? Or was there some commemorative Jazz Festival snare which came with a retro badge which doesn't use the standard serial number sequence?

This looks like a model Ludwig legacy with the p-86 millennium strainer. 300 bucks is probably a good deal for that drum. This could be an earlier production drum of the legacy line. Ludwig made the first legacies around 2008 and they only offered two finishes that were not wraps. I think within a year they were offering wraps. It took Ludwig a few years after the legacy drums were released to offer eight lugs. I'll bet this drum is from around 2009-2010. I bet it sounds great!
