Ludwig serial numbers

Hi guys. I have found a Ludwig drum with a B/O, rounded corner badge with the serial number 3147885. Can anyone help me pinpoint the year? I cant seem to find numbers above 1979. Thanks to all in advance for help. I will send pics if I pick it up.

probably near the last era of the b/o badges i would think. i had an 84 that was 3111084. they went to the large keystone badge in 85 i think.
