Is there any way to tell exactly what year this snare is? Also, would this be nickel over brass one piece? What's the best way to clean it? thanks to anyone who can help.

Looks like the shell Conn used after they bought the company in the late 20's, not the earlier Ludwig and Ludwig shell.
Otherwise, any info stamped on the back of the throw-off, like patent pending or date info?
