Ludwig Educator's

Loading...

Here is my completed set of Ludwig Educator's. Ludwig's failing attempt to compete with the Japanese market in the late 70,s. The drums have plastic lugs but the rest of the hardware is very solid and sturdy. Shells in this kit are 4 ply with maple interior's without rings, except for the 13", it is 3 ply with rings.

This line of drums was so short lived it was never cataloged. I myself am aware of just a few of these kits owned by fellow VDF members.

Thank you!

Really is a great looking kit. I'd worry about the plastic lugs...do they hold up OK??

I have not played the drum so I don't know. But considering they held for 45 years I would say they held up good. But I am not taking any chances, gonna wait until I have e enough steel lugs to replace the plastic ones before I start cranking down New heads.

Thank you!

Jeff those drums look amazing and in such great condition too.Nice find as they are rare and also a wise choice to find some steel lugs and save the original plastic ones.Enjoy them Jeff.
