Do you mean is it chrome over brass I have know idea. It's off of a 79' Concert tom and I think it's triple flange. It's got some weight to it. It's not flimsy like a lot of LUdwig hoops.

I'm sure It's a 2.3mm steel hoop, A magnet won't stick to the rim if it's cob.
