Given the 5x14 size snare of these two models, would you own both of these drums? Or just one or the other?
I think everyone should own each of these snares at some point, just to play around with, experiment with tuning, and see what all the fuss is about. Whether you keep one, both, or neither is up to you.

i have a modern cob for sale, and i've has regular supras. i like both but they do sound different.
both are great and i also agree everyone should have both.
but it guess it really depends on what sound your looking for.

Exactly. I'm not that thrilled with the sound of a 14x5 COB Ludwig, unless it's from the 20s. Those sound great! 60s models...meh.
