Got this club date in pieces awhile back and I'm now just getting around to asking questions. It came with a diamond receiver plate like the 70's kits but came with two 13x9" toms. One has a metal plate on the inside and the other does not. Neither have badges. Nickel hardware. Are the toms from two different kits? Did Ludwig ever not put badges on drums? Is the metal plate on the inside normal? (plate seems to have been put on at the factory). The floor tom does have a badge and the bass drum was uncovered when I got it.
Ludwig Club Date Help Last viewed: 7 hours ago
I doubt it's a Ludwig. I'd have to see the interiors.

i could very well be mistaken but perhaps that vent with the metal ring in it could just be the gromet that holds that badge on where the badge itself has been removed.
12, 13, 16, 22, 14 (supraphonic)
It could be. But I'd have to ask, "Why would those badges be missing and the grommets be in place?"
I could solve the mystery instantly if I could see a shot of the interior side of that grommet.

The grommet looks bent on the inside, like it was removed. It looks like the drum has rerings, too. Some people don't like bent badges....

I'm fairly certain these are wfl's or ludwigs, the BDP color is correct.
I'll post some more pics tomorrow. The floor tom does have a badge dating it to around 67. The drums I got were 2 13x9"s 14x14" and a 22x14". Bass drum was unwraped with no badge.
