I just picked up this Ludwig Club Date kit is a blue oyster pearl finish. The tom and kick are a perfect match, but the floor tom is a bit faded, with more green showing. Does anyone know of a way to clean her up? The pictures aren't too good, but the floor tom is not as vibrant as the other two, thanks.

Hey Johnny. There's a guy who successfully whitened his wmp Ludwigs last year. Go to Drummerworld.com and search for Larryace.
Though with your wrap I'm not sure I'd tackle that. I guess you'd have to do all 3 to make sure the wraps were close to each other. It's tough matching those faded wraps. A pain in the butt.
Sweet drums though.
I'll check that, thanks, but I wouldn't touch the tom and kick, they look near mint, it's only the floor tom that has the fade. I thought there might be a way to make it a bit more vibrant, the floor tom has a bit more of that green that comes out on this kind of finish.
Mark, man that is a sweet little kit !
Nice score! I love it!
I would give it the old Novus treatment and be done with it. Those drums are too cool to attempt any weird proceedure that could mess them up!

Nice kit Mark! I agree with JCC, Novus and I'd be done with it. BTW, sizes?
Blaemire / Jenkins-Martin drums.

Nice kit...the singer, guitar player, or horn player will be standing in front of the drums anyway Mister Tflowers2...lol
What about that wet sanding method with 400-1200?
Novis 1 and 2. Do not touch that drum with sand paper!
Have you pulled a lug or hoop to see if it's really faded? I have a OBP JF that originally came with a Super Classic set, but was not made with the same batch of wrap. I wanted to try & work on the finish, but when I pulled a lug, there was no fade showing; the wrap was just a different (ugly) batch. Don't think there's anything to do to fix it. Yours may be the same. Otherwise, really nice kit......marko
