Ludwig champagne sparkle 60's

Saw this ad on my local classifieds tonight, and what appears to be a set of 60's Keystone badge Ludwig drums in champagne sparkle..

From the looks of it, missing all kinds of parts.. One bass drum hoop, T-rods, claws, bottom rims, lug screws.. I also noticed something quite odd, and what looks to be the tom being cut in half, and then reattached with metal plates and screwed back in from the interior of the shell.. The tom shell also looks like it's missing the badge, because the grommet hole is visible, but badge is missing.. It also looks like it may be a re-wrap.

If it is, then i don't care ..I'll chuck the shell and keep the hardware, and email a guy 3 hrs away from me who's selling a mint champagne sparkle tom for $250.. I emailed the seller of the kit and asked him how much he wants for it, because he didn't post a price.. No response yet.

With all those missing parts and tom all botched up, how much do you guys think would be a fair offer ? Any thoughts are appreciated..

Cheers,

Rob

I just saw that ad too and was scratching my head and though i'd write you a private message to inform you when I came across this thread. That is a weird 2 halves of a tom though....hopefully they are going cheap and you will get a decent kick and floor and some restorable extras. That snare in the front kinda looks like a Tama with Artstar lugs, but the pics are extraordinarily crappy.

1964 Ludwig Champagne Super Classic
1970 Ludwig Blue Oyster Super Classic
1977 Rogers Big R Londoner 5 ebony
1972/1978 Rogers Powertone/Big R mix ebony

Funky- Long time no speak ! Still no reply back from the guy.. What you said, were precisely my thoughts.. If it goes cheap, i may grab it..

Crappy pics don't help, provided they haven't been sold , and if i do decide to check them out, i'm going to inspect them left , right, and center.. Whatever the case, we'll see what happens.. Coffee Break2

Seller just contacted me..I think he doesn't know about vintage drums, because he called the kit an "antique" Ludwig.. His asking price is $1000 or best offer.. I told him that no one in their right mind will pay that much for the condition the kit is in, and all the missing parts that are not present.. I gave him an estimate, and told him that if he accepted, i would be glad to take them off his hands.. If not , i wished him luck with the sale..
