Yep! Sitting in a case downstairs for safe-keeping. I'm pretty sure this one coming from James is copper, going strictly by the color of the patina. I'll know for sure when it's in my hands. I have a set of 70's Super-sensitive strainers and bowtie lugs that I plan to use. I'm not sure, but I don't think the shell has crimped snare beds, or any snare beds at all. I'm hoping there are no beds, it'll be perfect for the super sensitive set-up. If it has beds, I'll use a P-83 strainer (maybe a P-86!) and butt plate on it.

James - shell arrived! It's -copper- baby! The metal on the shell is as red as a Lincoln penny. I'm going to polish it up and turn it into a copper super-sensitive!

Thank you for a great deal...

Awesome John!! I can't wait to see it finished. As you already noticed, no snare beds and perfect for those super sensitive strainers. So glad it really is copper too. Enjoy it!

Is the 60's Ratchet double tom post (#171) still available?

I just broke mine this weekend and am hunting down a replacement.
