Ludwig 70's Pro Beat ROCKS again! Last viewed: 8 hours ago

Loading...

I recently purchased the remaining drums from a larger 70's Mahogany Pro Beat kit. Cleaned & buffed out & ready to ROCK once more.

Serial numbers date to 1976-78. 6 ply shells with clear interior.

I am third owner after guy I bought from got from original owner.

Never left house & sat set up in living room for decades(non married guy in military?) in Palm Springs area so some sun fade to grain. Only replacement piece was front BD hoop. No scratches or knicks but small patch of grain was repaired on FT) 14x24, 10x14, 16x18 & 1971 Supraphonic included (7.5 out of 10).

I searched for quite a while for just these sizes to replace a Slingerland Mahogany kit I was gigging with.

My first 70's kit! and a players kit & I am going enjoy playing quite a bit! :)

Best bass drum I ever played was a six ply 14x24, still trying to reproduce it!

Agreed! The 24" kick is by far my favorite! I also have a 71 Slingerland Avante kit in mahogany finish with a 24" kick I restored & it sounds just as amazing! here's a pic. This Ludwig kit is replacing this Slingerland kit.
