I have this listed on ebay, but I'm having trouble getting all the pics right.

At any rate -- EXCELLENT Ludwig hi hat, the first Ludwig Ringo played before the 1123-1.

This is clean, clean, clean, with hammered finish paint.

Long-winded description at ebay listing:

But please check ALL the pics at photobucket -- price is $250, free shipping in lower 48, international, please ask!

Bill

Beautiful stand. That's an 1121 stand. He played an 1123 after that one, not an 1123-1. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks, Mike -- I did a lot of research so I'd be able to call it the "# 1" stand.

And thanks for the kudos - as far as I know, all parts are "correct" for this stand. It's perfect for somebody with the right Ludwig kit!

They're great hihats - I have one the came with my late 50's Gretsch kit......and I use it (it has a WFL Footboard) - and the WFL Speed King pedal too.

For anyone here that may be interested......... I had mine appraised in 2010 - the following text taken from that appraisal:

"The Ludwig 1123 hi-hat stand with this kit is in particular demand these days because it is the model that Ringo used with the Beatles. This stand frequently sells for $350.00 and higher, while the newer (and more stable) 1123-1 routinely sells for under $50.00."

Yike. As the saying goes: "From your lips to God's ear." We'll see what the market thinks!

I have sold one of these for 300, so I'm puzzled about the lukewarm response.

Huh.

Would Ginger Baker used this model hi-hat stand with Cream?.

Hmmmm ... good question. But I haven't researched that. Any photos online?? It may be a little early for Cream -- but I only know them from the time in the States.
