Looking for info on York 16" snare

Loading...

I've been looking for info about this York 16" snare from the early 1900s, but haven't found anything. Anyone know anything about these and how much they are worth? (sorry some of the pics are sideways -- can't get them to rotate for some reason)

York and Sons was in Michigan

A distributor of musical instruments and manufacturer of brass instruments

primarily.

Their distribution label is found on many instruments they did not manufacture themselves.

A dating process, of sorts, can be made by their labels/badges.

First is was York, then as the sons arrived, York and Son, and York and Sons.

Late 1800s when the Sons appeared if memory serves.....something like that.....

There's some catalogs and other hoo-ha info online for the company....
